How to attach xmas lights to trailer?

I was just wondering how you would go about attaching Xmas lights to a trailer? This is my first year putting lights on our new house we use to have a wood house and i just used thumbtacks. This year it is metal siding and thumbtacks wont work.

Tie them on to the hubcaps and the back bumper? :)

I imagine you could unscrew some screws a little, and put wire twisty-ties behind them. Probably lots of other things, too, including plastic ties, velco and tape.

you can get wire tie sticky pads and stick them on wherever you want and tie the lights using string or wire ties and when you are done you can remove them without hurting the paint or loosening the screws or putting holes in the trailer. You can buy them at any electric store retail store and the auto parts store. they are square one inch of half inch in size and has a hole at the top to allow a wire tie to fit into it, however you can use string.

They make screws with a rubber washer or grommet attached that are self drilling. Get some hooks or straps to attach to trailer.Add or replace ones already there(screws). This should eliminate any leaking from the screws. I used them on my trailer this year when I put on a new roof. You could even add a dab of silicone too, but probably not needed.
