I actually? visited the site of the home from this movie. You can actually take a tour of it, it’s in Cleveland.
My guess is that while they? were rehearsing the scene, the actor playing Flick only PRETENDED to stick his tongue to the flagpole. However, when they actually shot the scene, it actually DID stick.
