What Fabric Theme Should I Use For Xmas Stockings?
So I am thinking of making my own Xmas stockings but I want to know what type of THEMES of Xmas stockings I should make that I could sell.
Like I saw some of John Deere
Crosses, soccer balls,, etc
What other themes do you recommend?
I’d get some red plaid fabric; traditional.
try childrens themes of the coolest toys out this year. or the regualr traditional ones are cute stars and things , this months issue of martha stewart magazine has some cool themes . with beads and sparkels.
Well, I guess it depends on who you want to market too; children or adults. For children, I would try and do what is popular today, like Spiderman stockings (I know my boyfriends son would LOVE that), Spongebob, Dora the Explorer, Bratz, that kind of thing. I would go to my local fabric shop and just see what kind of fabrics catch my eye. Perhaps even ask some of the employees what the most popular patterns of fabric are so that you could get an idea of what people want. Make sure you do the classic stocking too, with the red plush and white trim, and maybe do some santa and reindeer patterns, just to stick with the classics. Anyways, have fun and good luck!
Different themes will probably sell, but not as well as the good ole’ Christmas Theme, stick to those, Good Luck!
