I bought a bone in half ham for xmas and there is no date when to use by. It is not cooked and went to the website and their website said to use within 7-9 days. Does that seem to long should I go ahead and freeze it?

You need to cook the ham if it’s not cooked. You could freeze it raw, but I don’t know what it would be like when you thaw it out and cook it.
Ham on the bone keeps a long time once cooked – you keep it covered with a damp teatowel in the fridge. I think 7-9 days sounds right.
ham is cooked already. Otherwise it would be just a chunk of raw bloody meat. When did you buy it? If it was today, Christmas is in 5 days, you should be okay. Keep it in the coldest lowest shelf of your refridgerator. Is there a sell by date on the ham? You have a week or so after the sell by date. Of course, if you are concerned, do what you wish and freeze, by all means.
