Yeah, she died twelve years later. This was filmed in 1970, and she died in the beginning of 1983.
She looked a little on the skinny side in that video. Does anyone know how long she died after filming?

I heard there was a reporter that made a fat comment about her, and that was what drove her to anorexia. I don’t know how true that is though.

Karen suffered from anorexia because her brother Richard and her parents totally ran her life. As an example, A&M Records only wanted to sign Karen to their label, but her parents told Herb Alpert that if they didnt take Richard too, the deal was off. Anorexics stop eating because it is the only thing they feel they can control without interference from others. Been there, done that.

This is my song this year, I’m spending my very first Christmas along, no kids, no husband. I must admit, that combination makes it hard to get into the Christmas spirit.
