This movie was not good at all and I was very disappointed in Thomas Kinkade! I’ve bought all of his Christmas story books so was very excited to buy this DVD. The sound was terrible and the story was a huge disappointment! My son is with Warner Brothers Pictures and he thought I might enjoy it. NO! I am giving it away!

I WAS HOPING TO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A NEW CHRISTMAS MOVIE THAT MY ENTIRE FAMILY COULD VIEW, THIS MOVIE ISN’T IT!
I THOUGHT SINCE THOMAS KINKADE WAS THE SUBJECT IT WOULD BE A DECENT MOVIE, WRONG AGAIN.
IT STARTED OUT SLOW AND JUST GOT WORSE. THERE WAS A LOT OF PROFANITY AND VULGAR SUGGESTIVE MATERIAL IN THE FIRST FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. THAT’S ALL WE COULD STAND TO WATCH. WE WILL BE RETURNING THE MOVIE DUE TO IT BEING RATED INCORRECTLY. I DON’T KNOW HOW THE FIRST REVIEWER COULD SAY IT’S A FAMILY MOVIE. IT MOST CERTAINLY ISN’T!
I’M DISAPPOINTED IN THOMAS KINKADE FOR ALLOWING HIS NAME TO BE PUT ON THIS MOVIE.

We are great fans of Thomas Kinkade’s art, and his Christian testimony. In purchasing this movie we were hopeful of a warm, family movie. We liked the actors and found in the end it had some positive things…family and friends supporting and encouraging one another. However, we felt there were things that would keep us from showing it to children or recommending it to others. Some low and bulging necklines, a father encouraging immorality in his sons by magazines, comments, and lifestyle; an openly immoral young woman playing Mary in the Christmas program. It is true that there are all kinds of people in life, and that there is good in everyone. Our expeience is that it is actually the man that is relating properly to his Lord that has the strength of character to find the right course in life and impact others for good. This testimony, which we believe is true of Mr. Kinkade’s life, is not made evident in this movie.

I agree that this movie is lousy and is not a good family Christian Christmas movie at all and what I expected it to be.To use that horrible woman to play Mary in the play was so terrible.All she wanted to do was to show off her body to men-even the preacher smiled big as she raised her dress in church.I will never get anything else made by Thomas Kinkade.He should be ashamed at this trash.There is more I could say but it is all bad as that is how the movie is and it shows no one changing for the better.If you want a family film do not buy this one!!!!!!I wasted my money.

First of all, please disregard the reviews that say that this movie is a family movie. It most definitely is NOT. Believing that Mr. Kinkade, who calls his self the “painter of light,” would only have movies that were truly family-oriented, I sat down to watch this movie with my inlaws. There was a profuse use of profanity, only partially covered breasts on one particular young lady throughout the movie, and sexual innuendo. Now, we all know that people are like this in everyday life, however, it can be more tastefully portrayed to where the audience gets the idea. Furthermore, the other reviews failed to note that these actions were done during, of all things, a church Christmas play, inside the church. The young lady that was portraying the Virgin Mary was the one revealing much of her breasts, as well as saying and gesturing sexual innuendo. Anyone who says this is not so, apparently were not paying attention to the movie, or their sound was to where they couldn’t hear her, the town mayor, and also the church pastor’s crude comments. Needless to say, I was very embarassed to be watching this movie with my inlaws, of all people.
I’m writing this review, because the movie took away all that was good about Mr. Kinkade’s artwork that I have loved all these years and made it something that seemed like a fraud to me. I have felt nothing but hurt for what Mr. Kinkade said that he stood for, and so obviously doesn’t. As a person that was a Thomas Kinkade fan, I must say that I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with this movie, and I was very surprised that he put his name on it.
