Wow, how petty your ex is being.

I would just buy her a present and take it over to her house (if she will allow it) ask her if you can bring by a present for her and bring a heartfelt card with it.

It sounds like she is just being overprotective of her. Which sucks for you but at the same time you should respect her for that. She is trying to protect your most precious gift and that says a lot of her to start. At the same time you should be able to see her. Dont get your hopes up about custody… Visitation will probably be established but unless you can prove your child is endangered and/or neglected they will most likely not give you custody. Just sit down and have a heart to heart with your ex. Maybe you can work something out where you can stay at their home to be able to experience her christmas in their controlled setting. Express how much it would mean to you and that you just want to be a part of it even if you can’t have her at your own home. Sounds crazy but it is a simple solution to make you both happy on christmas morning. I personally will not let my kids go with their dad on christmas. That is my special day with them and would be devistated if I couldn’t share that with them. The solution I suggested is something I would actually entertain as a mother. Good Luck!
